HD DIAGNOSTIC SCAN TOOL

Know what your engine is telling you — when it matters most

The ScanGauge HD checks for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and, if any are found, shows how many there are and the codes themselves.

Data captured when the code was set can be recalled to help troubleshoot the problem (was the engine hot or cold, speed high or low, etc.). Once the issue is fixed, the ScanGauge HD can clear the codes and turn off the warning light.

COMPATIBILITY

Will ScanGauge work on my truck?

ScanGauge heavy diesel models work with most trucks, buses, agricultural and earthmoving equipment from 1990 onwards that use the J1939 or J1708 diagnostic protocols.

Check your diagnostic port

Look under the dash for a round diagnostic connector:

9-pin round port — J1939 (most trucks from the late 2000s onwards)
6-pin round port — J1708 (mainly older trucks)

Both are supported.

J1939 9-pin and J1708 6-pin round diagnostic ports on heavy diesel trucks

Truck has a 16-pin port instead? Many medium trucks such as Isuzu and Hino use a 16-pin port — these work with the ScanGauge 3 and our 24V OBD extension cable. Some other trucks use a 16-pin connector for J1939 and need our 9-pin to 16-pin adapter instead. Not sure which you have? Contact us and we'll confirm before you buy.
