MONITOR ALL VITALS
Six tools. One device. Plug & play.
Whether you're a 4x4 tourer monitoring transmission temps on a long tow, a daily driver trying to stretch your fuel budget, or a home mechanic who wants to stay on top of their vehicle's health — the ScanGauge 3 gives you the information that changes how you drive and maintain your vehicle.

15+ Live OBD2 Gauges
Display up to 9 simultaneously — water temp, RPM, boost, fuel economy, battery voltage, throttle position and more. Fully customisable layout.
X-Gauge™ Programmable Gauges
Go beyond standard OBD2 — add transmission temp, EGT, DPF soot load and other vehicle-specific parameters tailored to your make and model.
5 Trip Computers
Track fuel cost, distance, average speed, litres used and range-to-empty across five independent logs. Data retained even when unplugged.
OBD2 Fault Code Scanner
Read and clear fault codes with plain-English meanings on screen. Critical when you're remote, off-road or in limp mode far from help.
Alerts & Alarms
Set custom high and low alerts on any gauge — coolant temp, battery voltage, boost and more. Get warned before a small issue becomes a big problem.
Real-Time Fuel Economy
Instant L/100km, average economy, cost per kilometre, litres per hour and trip fuel cost. See exactly where your fuel money goes.
LIVE OBD2 GAUGES
Monitor engine vitals and every reading your vehicle can share
More than 15 built-in digital gauges — select up to 9 live gauges to display simultaneously. All data is pulled live from your vehicle's ECU as you drive. Switch between metric and imperial — km, litres, Celsius and kPa all supported.
| Code | Gauge | Code | Gauge |
|---|---|---|---|
| LHK / KPL | Litres per 100km / Km per Litre | CWT | Coolant Temperature |
| AVG | Average Fuel Economy | RPM | Engine RPM |
| LPH | Litres Per Hour | KPH | Speed (km/h) |
| TFC | Trip Fuel Cost | VLT | Battery Voltage |
| CPM | Cost Per Kilometre | TPS | Throttle Position |
| MAP / BST | Manifold Pressure / Boost | LOD | Engine Load |
| FIA / CIA | Intake Air Temperature | IGN | Ignition Timing |
| FPR | Fuel Pressure | HPR | Horsepower |
* Available parameters vary by vehicle make and model. If a parameter is not supported by your vehicle's ECU, no data will be shown for that gauge.
X-GAUGE™ SYSTEM
Go beyond standard OBD2 — monitor what really matters for your build
Towing a caravan? Doing serious off-road work? Running a tuned diesel? The standard OBD2 gauges don't tell the full story. X-Gauge is ScanGauge's exclusive programmable gauge system — tap into manufacturer-specific data channels and display them alongside your standard gauges.
The ScanGauge 3's Auto Scan feature automatically finds the X-Gauges available on your vehicle and displays them alongside your standard OBD2 gauges — no manual code entry needed.

Popular X-Gauge parameters include:
Transmission fluid temp · Torque converter temp · Exhaust gas temp (EGT) · DPF soot load % · DPF differential pressure · Engine oil temp · Fuel rail pressure · Transfer case temp · and many more
TRIP COMPUTERS
Five trip computers — always logging, always ready
With five built-in trip computers, the ScanGauge keeps track of everything from fuel cost to distance travelled and everything in between. Data is stored on the ScanGauge and retained even when the power is disconnected. Each trip computer starts automatically and the information is available any time during the trip.
- Current Trip, Today and Previous Day
- Kilometres driven & hours driven
- Fuel used and trip fuel cost
- Average and max speed
- Max RPM and max coolant temp
- Fuel economy (L/100km)
- Current Tank and Tank to Empty
- Fuel used on current tank
- Distance to empty
- Hours to empty
- Average economy for current tank
- Total fuel cost for current tank
OBD2 SCAN TOOL
Know what your engine is telling you — when it matters most
The ScanGauge 3 checks for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and, if any are found, shows how many there are, the codes themselves and what each code means. You can also view pending codes to catch problems before they get worse.
It can also check your vehicle's emissions readiness and tell you which tests, if any, haven't passed before you take it in for emissions testing.

INSTALLATION
Up and running in under five minutes — no tools required
Plugs directly into your vehicle's OBD2 diagnostic port under the dash and powers itself from it. No wiring, no calibration, no tools required.
IN THE BOX
What's included
• ScanGauge 3 unit (latest Australian firmware) • 1.8m OBD2 cable • Window mount • User manual • Quick-start guide

Instructions
By: John on 6 July 2026Overall I think this is a great product. It maybe be me but I think the straight forward easy to use and programming stops when you get to entering information into X Gauge. I do not believe I have come across clear instructions on how to enter information into X Gauge then transfer it to Gauges .Have I mislaid step by step instructions?

Don't buy
By: Peter Young on 18 November 2025Had a scanguage 2 for years was a good product but then I upgraded to a 3 big mistake a waste of $450 readings are not anywhere near accurate near impossible to get the 3 to clear codes where the 2 was accurate with the readings and could clear codes first go , my recommendation save your money and buy a 2 .

ScanGauge Australia Response
Hi Peter, Thank you for taking the time to leave the review. However, I didn't see any communication from you in our systems raising the issue. Please feel free to reach out to us directly there so we can assist you and understand the issues there, we are more than happy to help get to the bottom of it, Regards, Gary
a very nice tool
By: Petr Baum on 14 October 2025My Mercedes Sprinter’s display provides only limited information — I was missing key data like the ambient temperature and a large speed readout (the speed was shown only in very small numbers). With the ScanGauge 3, I now have four large, easy-to-read gauges. I’ve added displays for current gear and battery voltage as well. The ability to read error codes is a nice bonus — not something I bought it for, but definitely useful to have. Setup was very straightforward and fast.

A Must-Have for Any Vehicle Enthusiast – Just a Fe
By: Ken on 20 May 2025I’ve been using the ScanGauge 3 for about a month now, and I’m genuinely impressed with its performance and versatility. The real-time data it provides is incredibly detailed and has already helped me monitor and improve my driving habits. From fuel economy to engine diagnostics, it’s packed with features that make it an essential tool for anyone serious about understanding their vehicle. The touchscreen interface is responsive and easy to navigate, and I love how customizable the display is. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into the user experience. That said, I do have a couple of minor qualms. First, the lack of mounting options out of the box was a bit disappointing. I had to get creative to find a secure and convenient spot for it in my car. Second, an auto-brightness feature would be a fantastic addition—especially for those of us who drive at varying times of day. Manually adjusting the brightness can be a bit of a hassle. Overall, though, the ScanGauge 3 is a fantastic product that delivers on its promises. With just a couple of small improvements, it would be absolutely perfect. Highly recommended!
